The Pomodoro technique is a time management method developed by Francesco Cirillo in the late 1980s. In this, we set a timer of 25 minutes and focus on our work avoiding distractions and when the timer ends, we take a short break as a reward and then repeat the same process 3–4t times or until work is done.

I decided to complete my online course i.e. creating a superhero resume using the Pomodoro technique. So I set the timer to 25 minutes and started my course. I am procrastinator so it was very difficult for me in the start. Many thoughts popped up in my mind. Sometimes, my phone rang and had to receive the call. In the first attempt I couldn’t do it properly. I had fixed target in my mind that I would complete first section of my course but being a procrastinator I stuck nowhere. Then I took a break and tried to freshen up.

I did another attempt, set the timer and initiated my course again. Same thing happened, I would get distracted but I still pushed myself to keep my focus on my work. I kept doing my work and avoid being getting distracted. Messages would pop up on my mobile, notifications from Facebook, Messenger, Instagram would appear, I would have stuck in my thoughts for a moment so I kept pulling myself out of it and pivoted on the work.

I made another attempt and that was successful. The Pomodoro technique assisted me in the way that it had deadline. I knew that I had exactly 25 minutes and I needed to bind my work in that time.
